Old Albanian Cricket Club was founded in 1930 on May 5th at a meeting at St Albans School. The first ever game was played by the club with the opponents being St George's School on May 24th. This was a 6 wicket lost.

Since the founding the club has always had strong links with the school which continue to this day. We are privileged to be associated to a school which has developed into such an admired institution academically, on the sports field and in other extra-curricular activities.

In 1932 the club moved to its first home ground of Beech Bottom and in the same season held its very first 2nd team fixture. In 1960 Beech Bottom had its first real investment with a new pavilion being built, and then in 2002 OACC took the ambitious move into Woollams Playing Fields with its impressive pavilion and state of the art facilities.

The club is still there and growing in strength both on and off the field and in 2023 saw the first ever 6th team take to the field with overall club membership breaking the 450 milestone. The committee are hopeful that this growth will continue and we will soon see the 500 mark reached.

Old Albanian Cricket Club is a friendly, sociable and inclusive club that welcomes all levels of ability.
